KRIT makes inoffensive music, but too much of it feels like a retread of things he’s already done. The album serves as a dedication to his car, and the fixation on car imagery (wood grain this, candy paint that) just isn’t engaging. For all the flak 'Digital Roses Don’t Die' caught, at least it made an attempt to do something slightly different.
Most of this is solid enough, aside from 'Not in the Whip', which I strongly dislike, but overall it feels recycled. And I’ll say it again: three-verse, four or so minute tracks have more chance of being memorable than these two-minute songs which is an unfortunate trend in modern hip hop.
