I'm a fan of Bruno Mars. That said, Doo-Wops & Hooligans is his worst album. The lyrics on this album range from creepy (Grenade, Runaway Baby) to stupid (The Lazy Song, Our First Time) to cloying (Just the Way You Are, Count on Me). The first half of this album was especially difficult to sit through, with Bruno not even managing to have good instrumentation on the cod reggae influenced Our First Time and The Lazy Song. The others are okay musically, even if they don't do much for me personally. However, the lyrics drag them down significantly. The second half, with the exception of Count on Me is an improvement. Marry Me and The Other Side, while nothing special, are decent pop songs, and I actually loved Liquor Store Blues. That was an actually good reggae song, much to my surprise. As for Talking to the Moon, it's boring.
