Aggie Dutton wants to go to town to meet a boy. Pa tells Grudie to take her and check for a letter from Uncle Solon. Aggie asks Doc if Chester is married. Grudie and his brass knucles get in a fight. Matt tells him to get out of Dodge. Aggie invites Chester out to their camp. Aggie tells Pa somehow she's staying in Dodge. She rides into Dodge and tells him Pa invited him out to fish. She tells Pa she was with Chester all night, and he has come to do the right thing and married her. Grudie knocks Chester out with his brass knuckles. Pa goes to town to check on the letter. Aggie tells Chester she is sorry but she is going to stick to her story. Pa got the letter. Moss tells Matt he's seen the horse Grudie was riding. Pa's ready to leave for Colorado, with Chester tied up in the wagon. Matt stops them. Chester is freed. Aggie tells Pa she storied him. Chester tells aggie she'll find a place to root down.
