Though he voted with the new-schoolers to eliminate Vytas, Jeff Varner conspired with the old-schoolers to target Shirin and Spencer for their cunning. Abi-Maria's abrasive social behavior alienated her from her tribe; after she overheard Peih-Gee and Shirin talking negatively about her, Abi-Maria confronted Peih-Gee, and the argument resulted in their alliance making fun of Abi-Maria. A vulnerable Abi-Maria was comforted by Terry, and the two aligned. The next morning, Abi-Maria and Jeff Varner solidified their plans to switch to the old-school alliance, putting them in power.
