Almost two years later this finally gets a release on Windows. I remember seeing the early trailers for this in 2009/10 and to me it seemed like it would be more adventure than action, but nevertheless one can't complain too much with the final product. Overall it is pretty much a Silent Hill game with a slightly more interesting story than in recent games. Positives: addictive gameplay, the environments are vast and highly detailed, interesting story, the score and voice acting is of a high standard, there is some originality in gameplay and it is very forgiving with checkpoints being plentiful. Negatives: the combat is a bit rough (particularly the ducking movement), the vehicle handling gets the job done but isn't brilliant, lack of different enemies, and the gameplay could have been less linear. Finally, as far as the horror portion of the game goes, a creepy atmosphere is created, but I don't think it quite pulls off frightening the gamer if that was the intention.
