The book is about two siblings getting along to play detective together. I tried to make it funny, interesting, and relatable. I loved playing detective with my little sister when I was little.
We live in a time when everything nowadays is a conspiracy. Because of this, I thought it was crucial to demonstrate having an imagination, being curious, and asking questions—especially as a child—are perfectly acceptable. However, the main goal of the book was to demonstrate to children rules exist for a reason.
The main questions Brody and Bella ask are simple:
Why do kids have to go to bed early?
Why do kids have to go to school?
Why should kids eat vegetables?
