After 1989, capitalism has presented itself as the only realistic political-economic system. What effects has this “capitalist realism” had on work, culture, education and mental health? Is it possible to imagine an alternative to capitalism that is not some throwback to discredited models of state control?
As a relatively young person who could only endure and passively accept late capitalism and be a victim of consumism, this book was very easy to relate with and every chapter gives great insights; complex concepts are balanced by easy real life examples.
Given how short this was, I'd suggest it to everyone.
