Max Madness and his best pal AJ have just perfected their latest experiment Smarty Pants Serum. With a few sprinkles and bobbles of this and that, the boys have crafted quite the concoction; imbued with the baffling ability to make someone quite clever.
Keen on completing their creation equation, the boys are on the hunt for a not-so-smarty pants subject. When they stumble upon the school bully, Johnny Envy, they decide to dose him up.
What will become of this science experiment? And has Max Madness bitten off more than he can chew?
