A Quiet Place 2018 Movie

While there is a undeniably cinematic aura to this muted tale and a devotion to generating ominous terror to give John Carpenter a run for his money, that puts empty upstarts like the Wachowskis to shame, etc. etc. there is not much more than meets the eye going on, not enough to vault this past style-before-content horrorama. Krasinski thinks he's fooled you into believing he seeks tragic martyrdom, but has all the palatability/dignity (which is to say, none) of just another redneck stereotype who would rather take the easy way out and die than stand up for his family against a supernatural horror. Can't recommend this one. 5.5/10
