Description
During a rescue mission in space, Jean is nearly killed when she is hit by a mysterious cosmic force. Once she returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful, but far more unstable. Wrestling with this entity inside her, Jean unleashes her powers in ways she can neither comprehend nor contain. With Jean spiraling our of control, and hurting the ones she loves most, she begins to unravel the very fabric that holds the X-Men together. Now, with this family falling apart, they must find a way to unite - not only to save Jean's soul, but to save our very planet from aliens who wish to weaponize this force and rule the galaxy.

One thing I hate about Days of Future Past, Apocalypse, and Dark Phoenix is that they reboot everything in Last Stand. The Dark Phoenix plot in Last Stand was already so good, in my belief, that they did not have to make another movie with it. Sophie Turner did well, but I do not like the movie despite many of my favorite actors being in it. Dazzler scene is pretty and warms my heart, but it is not enough to save the movie. How come everyone calls each other by their first name and not their codename? Only Storm is called Storm and not Ororo, unlike Scott always being called Scott and not Cyclops. Why is Storm different, she is also friends with all the other main X-Men so why do they just call her Storm and not Ororo like they call Kurt as his name and not Nightcrawler? In school, calling by first names makes sense, but in mission it does not. WHY DID THEY NERF MAGNETO?!?! The train scene though, I love that, and Magneto was still badass then. Anyway, only 0.5 stars.
