Nello, che si rivela subito un ottimo insegnante, non ha fortuna con le donne finchè non andrà ad un tè danzante in un istituto per donne non vedenti.
In the early 1900s Nello Balocchi, son of Pope Pius X's tailor, was a shy and awkward thirty-five-year-old whose parents sent him to teach in a high school in Bologna in the hope that he would be able to overcome his shyness. Nello, who immediately turns out to be an excellent teacher, has no luck with women until he goes to a tea dance in an institution for blind women.
