Back in the day I'm become obsessed with Jaws because of the theme tune they did back in the 70's I'm so obsessed with old music I remember in the morning playing John Williams' theme tune over and over again and my mum heard it downstairs and told me to turn it down because its loud for her. I don't know how many times that happened but what the hell. A young woman named Chrissy goes for a late-night ocean swim during a beach party. An unseen force attacks and pulls her underwater. The next morning her body is found washed up on the beach. After the medical examiner concludes it was a shark attack, Chief Brody played by Roy Scheider, closes the beaches; Mayor Larry Vaughn persuades him to reconsider, fearing the town's summer economy will suffer. The coroner agrees with the mayor's theory that it was a boating accident. Brody reluctantly accepts until a young boy, Alex Kintner, is killed at a crowded beach. A bounty is placed on the shark, causing an amateur shark-hunting frenzy. Quint played by Robert Shaw, a local shark hunter, offers his services for $10,000. Matt Hooper played by Richard Dreyfuss, examines the girl's remains, confirming that an abnormally large shark killed her saying that it's not a boating accident. So now it is up to the trio to catch a shark and kill it once and for all. For something that is Steven Spielberg's earlier work, that's really something. I'll bet back in the day when they're out of the cinema or see it on TV they'll be p***ing and s**ting their pants when they're thinking they'll be going into the water again. I guess they'll be doing that in the water thinking about sharks. Hahaha! I love the third act where they're on the boat catching a shark where two memorable scenes are being constructed. "You're gonna need a bigger boat." and Quint's speech on how he became a sailor in USS Indianapolis. Much like Steven Spielberg directed some memorable films like Jurassic Park, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Hook, Indiana Jones trilogy, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial and many more. I love Jaws. It's one of everybody's favorite classics of all time so is mine too. It provides some great shark scenes, jumpscares, and memorable music by John Williams. Like many horror films, Jaws will be in everybody's head when they're asleep and they'll be dreaming about being in the water with sharks and get eaten alive. Not to mention that it spawned three sequels which I'm never a huge fan. I don't mind the second one but the other two are absolutely god-awful. But aside from that, Jaws is an absolute classic and it is one of the greatest films of all time and this definitely will make you get a bigger boat while fishing.
