You didn't think I was going to move on to something else without reviewing Kinds of Kindness after reviewing Poor Things, right? Well, worry no more because here I am going to do a third film I've watched directed by Yorgos Lanthimos. Starring the same cast Poor Things with Emma Stone, Willem Dafoe and Margaret Qualley (which I didn't mention 'cause there's nothing to her in it), the way I require this movie Kind of Kindness is not just one story, it's actually an anthology film with three stories thrown in together about the R.M.F. which I have no idea what it stands for whether if it's the death of it, whether if it's flying or whether if it's eating a sandwich which I have no idea what the film's about. Let's get on with it. Part one is where it follows Robert Fletcher following every single order from his boss, Raymond. He controls every aspect of Robert's life, including setting him up with his wife Sarah, buying their house and car, and dictating when they can have sexual intercourse. One day, Raymond orders Robert to crash his car to kill the "R.M.F.". Part two is Police officer Daniel mourning the disappearance of his wife Liz, who went missing at the sea, but when he received the news that she has been rescued in a helicopter piloted by R.M.F. She returns unharmed to Daniel, but many things about her are strange; whether that her behavior and interests seem to be the opposite of how she was before. Is she really Liz or is she something else? And the last part is Emily and Andrew are members of a sex cult led by the enigmatic Omi and Aka. The cult's ritual for cleansing involves sweating out "toxins" in a high-temperature sauna if accused of infidelity with anyone other than them two, whether if someone is licking the sweat from their navel to determine if they are cleansed. They are looking for a specific woman with the ability to reanimate the dead. They examine a candidate named Anna, whom they find to be unsuccessful. Yeah, with those stories mentioning the R.M.F., I don't know if it had something to do with Karma or any other stuff that everybody's doing in recent years whether is something dumb, dark or people are just doing plain stupid things in their lives because I don't know what the hell R.M.F. meant but I will have to look it up after reviewing this movie. Yes, Emma Stone, Willem Dafoe and Margaret Qualley appearing in this movie just like Poor Things where is this movie however is kind of an anthology film which I know before seeing is a comedy drama but dark, good God, I did not expect it to be dark. Yes, Poor Things is dark too but I did not expect this movie to be this dark. Weird? Yes. Bizarre? Yes. Both of these answers that completely describe how completely messed up this movie and the world is today? Godly, yes. Sometimes one time it'll just be like Monty Python's The Meaning of Life but it really reminds me of something that Quentin Tarantino would do like this is something that reminds me Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs or Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood. Yeah, Margaret Qualley would star in his again. How do you like that? Woowoo. But he was thinking of something else like he stated the last film he was going to do before moving on to something else. Like I said before, any movie that is going to be weird and bizarre, I'm all in for it. I'm a curious courteous movie reviewer, just like I mentioned before. Whatever I experienced so far, yeah, this is actually quite great. Nothing Oscar worthy even by the film industry standards but Kinds of Kindness is once again a one weird, bizarre and absurd film. Now from what I looked online today is Yorgos Lanthimos has worked on another film called Bugonia which again stars Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons but from what I heard so far today is that this is yet another one of those weird, bizarre, absurd and dark movies that I will experience in a near future. Oh boy! Yorgos, you are one weird S.O.B. you really were which is why your films have become memorable and compelling any many way imaginable. We love you, man. Oh, boy! A fourth film starring yet again Emma Stone. (Oh, boy! (5X)
