American hard rock trio formed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in August 1969, by 16-year-olds Frankie Gilcken and Frank Ferrara; Tony Diorio joined after answering an ad in a local newspaper for a drummer. Broke up in 1974, releasing three albums for Capitol Records. The band reunited in 1996 after a 25-year hiatus.
