This is my first time hearing Flames Dot Malik. The project has moments of genuinely lush production filled with some samples, with soundbites from the film 'Scarface' woven between the tracks. Some songs, like 'Too Late', use that same rich, atmospheric style, but Flames often raps completely off beat, which isn’t my cup of tea. His gravelly voice won’t appeal to everyone either, and it took me a moment to adjust to it. I actually found myself preferring the more conventional voices of the featured artists.
