Based on the novel by Stratis Mirivilis, this limited series looks into the political affairs of Greece during the turbulent period of the First World War. We follow the erotic correspondence between volunteer Private Antonis Kostoulas (a veteran of the Balkan Wars, now stationed at the front) and his beloved Mirsini (a teacher at the local Mitilini Elementary School For Girls). Based on that correspendance, the series looks upon events of the day (at both a personal and a local/national level) bringimg home the absurdity, horror and vanity that is war.
