Guilherme is a clumsy and womanizing aeronautical engineer, who at the moment is in love with his neighbor, the beautician Sônia, but lives to enjoy life and women with the money earned by the helicopters he designs. Its new release is called Carcará. One of the buyers of the machine is the eccentric businessman Olavo Pederneiras, who, aboard him, goes with a team to record an aesthetic program in the Amazon. But in a setup to destroy Guilherme, Norma Gusmão, a friend and co-worker, in love with and despised by him, sabotages the helicopter, which crashes killing Olavo, Sônia, journalist Márcia, writer and ex-doctor Alex and chemist Mateus. Joana is a dermatologist who was abandoned as a baby by her mother in an orphanage, and now, with the money earned as an employee at the clinic of plastic surgeon Renato Reis, she is able to find her thanks to a detective. But Sonia has just passed away. Guilherme and Joana's fates intersect when she knocks on her mother's door and finds the engineer taking care of her younger brothers. Ruined and feeling guilty about the deaths, Guilherme decides to adopt Klaus and Dominique, and move forward with the project of the Beleza Pura beauty clinic, which Sônia was about to inaugurate. As a good engineer, he gets into a thousand troubles, as he doesn't understand anything about cosmetics and beauty products. He and Joana fall in love and start to live a beautiful relationship until Norma, once again, interferes with his life. And now he has the support of Renato, who is in love with Joana. Separated, Guilherme and Joana end up becoming rivals when she becomes a partner of the fun hairdresser Ivete - owner of the busy Belezoca salon -, and together they open the Amor da Pele clinic right opposite Guilherme's, Beleza Pura.
