15 years after the end of "Kommissar Rex", Sat.1 is back with "The Bull and the Beast", a crime series with a duo of master and dog. Jens Atzorn embodies police commissioner Elias Decker, who is quite similar to his animal colleague, the Bullmastiff Rocky, in many respects. At first the two were opponents, now they live and work in a community of convenience. Because Rocky was supposed to be put to sleep after he attacked Elias and injured his most sensitive area. But Elias recognized the four-legged friend's criminal talent - and a new dream team was born. Two women play an important role in the partners' lives: Elias' colleague Caro and his neighbor Sarah. The policeman and the four-legged friend regularly compete for their attention, although Rocky of all people seems to be the better understanding of women.
