This series begins as a mysterious alien race known as the Taelons descend on the Earth. Proclaiming their peaceful intentions, the Taelons are greeted as saviors when they reveal they have the solutions to crime, disease, and famine. However, though the Taelons make good on their promises, some still doubt the aliens' true intentions. Suspecting that their "saviors" are far more dangerous than they seem, these doubters form a movement dedicated to finding out the Taelon's true nature and defending their planet from any hidden menace.
