In this mixture of pseudo-documentary and crime series, since 2003 the real inspectors Cornelia Nieder and Bernhard Kuhnt, who have been released from the police service for filming, have been hunting crooks. Together with the inspectors Nina Schmeuser, Thomas Bossmann, Christian König and Katrin Becker, again played by actors, they solve fictitious but realistic cases for the Duisburg criminal police and allow the viewer Insights into all areas of police investigations, be it shadowing or interrogating suspects, questioning witnesses or even car chases and arrests. The description of the personal fates of perpetrators and victims is not neglected. Since the end of May 30, 2012, the series has been presented in a documentary style, with a continuous narrator describing the case and commenting on situations.
