The protagonist is called Sebastiano, he is a fugitive and spends his days hidden in a villa in northern Italy with a thousand "eyes" on the outside and ingenious hiding places inside. Thanks to this strategic house and the consequent existence of "mice" that leads inside it, Sebastiano has been invisible to the police for years. This hilarious comings and goings of his recalls the tricks adopted by real mafia fugitives to escape arrest, daring in reality as in the fiction signed by Albanese who freely draws on the chronicle of the captions of the bosses of recent years.
Sebastiano can count on the complicity of his trusted man, nicknamed U Stuortu, of his wife Betta who supports him with serene ignorance, of his eldest daughter Carmen, close to graduation and often in conflict with his father and of Benni, the seventeen-year-old son animated by a passion for molecular cuisine and for this reason the object of scorn on the part of Sebastiano. The family is completed by the uncles Vincenza and Vincenzo, an avid gambler the first and a respected mafia boss the second, happily self-enclosed in his basement bunker for twelve years.
