Elden Ring has made a huge splash in the market. It has shown that gamers are not idiots and that they do not need to be held by the hand at every step. It has shown that gamers still want difficult challenges and the satisfaction that comes with them, and that they are not so stupid that they need to be told what to do all the time. In reality, this is a rather dangerous situation for gamers, as now every studio will want to create its own open-world souls’like, only that almost every studio does not have the necessary experience to do so. We are now in for a flood of mediocre and lame premieres made in a hurry, just to encourage fans of Elden Ring to check out more thoughtless games. We have seen this in recent years after the success of the Dark Souls series, and the same awaits us after the success of Elden Ring. Although I am eagerly awaiting the response from the creators of Nioh and The Surge, but they have already proven that they know what they are doing with this topic. The game is great, the story is very good, and the gameplay is excellent. The graphics are worse than on other platforms, and there are some bugs here and there, but they don't interfere with the gameplay much. I highly recommend The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition to any Switch owner. You will definitely not be disappointed. Total perfection, where every element fits together perfectly, a plan that has been followed from the beginning of concept sketches, throughout the entire production process lasting many years. An idea that was on the minds of hundreds of employees who poured their whole hearts into the production of this title. Red Dead Redemption 2 is a game that will be remembered and made into memes. A game that other companies will clumsily imitate, without any idea for their title, taking individual elements and loading them into their average positions, without fully understanding what is most important in a given game. The same thing we observe with mechanics from Dark Souls games and the previously mentioned Witcher, which we find in other games but shouldn't be there. I think we will have a flood of games that will try to gain from the popularity of Red Dead Redemption 2. They will not succeed. The most distinguished GOTY of the last decade. God of War: Ragnarok is a fantastic movie and a merely decent game, whose cinematic elements do indeed do a great job of telling the story, but are far too numerous in the actual gameplay and combat. God of War: Ragnarok has also become a victim of the checklist of elements that are currently in fashion. Kratos has to slowly climb in one place, even though in other places he can use a grapple hook to quickly pull himself up. Why can't he use the grapple hook everywhere? Probably because the developers decided that players want to spend slow-moving minutes watching the hero's back. There are also Metroidvania elements, and we even got a dark-skinned Nordic goddess. None of this fits here and is unnecessary, just like the too many animations and the chaos with circles and markers. God of War: Ragnarok unfortunately did not go its own way, and it is a great pity that such a promising title has become a victim of a jumble of different mechanics that work well in other titles, but simply do not fit here.
