9.4/10 - Again, the series up the ante yet again with the Battle of the Labyrinth, the most complex, emotional and gripping (I read it in a few days) of the series yet. Seriously, when you write it down there's a LOT going on here, and all of it's interesting. - The main quest to find Deceadlus before Camp Half-Blood is destroyed - Annabeth and Percy's semi-romantic relationship - Rachel Elizabeth Dare becoming a major character - Nico trying to summon Bianca with the help of King Minos - Grover searching for Pan - Luke resurrecting Kronos - Percy nearly releasing Typhon - Percy and Calpsyo briefly falling in love - Tyson meeting Biaries - The absolutely epic final battle This one is a blast from start to finish. It's Harry Potter levels of quality, and I love the Harry Potter books. Incredible.

9.1/10 - Definitely better than 1 and 2, Titan's Curse introduces an entire new cast of characters - from the Artemis and her Hunters and Zoe to Thalia to Nico and Bicana via a cameo by Rachel Elizabeth Dare, it introduces a truck-load of likeable and interesting new characters. Aside from some minor bumps in the first few chapters, the characters are integrated superbly into the story, and the Gods are fleshed out much more in this volume than any of the others. It also features some of the most fuild action scenes in the series, and the final few chapters get SERIOUS. Excellent book, one of the most entertaining in the series.

8/10 - Not nearly as good as Lightning Thief but still entertaining, fun and imaginative. There's nothing really bad about it, it's just the plot is a repeat of the last book and it's not as memorable as the rest of the series. Still, Tyson is introduced, mabye one of my favourite and easily the sweetest character in the series, Annabeth and Percy's relationship is at it's best here, and there are a lot of exciting and gripping sequences from start to finish. And, again, the twist at the end with Thalia's tree hooks you right into book 3.

8.8/10 - Very entertaining and a fantastic start to an excellent series. The Percy/Annabeth/Grover dynamic is at it's best here. The scenes in the Underworld and at Camp Half-Blood are the best parts of the novel, easily. Harry Potter similarities, sure, but still good enough to hold the competition. Percy's narration is witty and the Greek Myths are updateded superbly. The ending twist is genius. Shame the film's didn't turn out so well.

How do I do justice to this film in a review; perfect Sci-Fi action adventure that perfectly balances influencial action sequences with a deep and layered story. Keanu Reeves is perfect. Laurence Fishburne is perfect. Carrie Anne Moss... I didn't know ot was humanly possible to be that cool. And Hugo Weaving steals the show as Agent Smith. Themes perfectly woven into the script - technology, destiny, religion, reality are all woven together and flipped to create easily one of the best films ever. A work of genius, and the sequels are good too. Oh wait, I just said that... Oh no, here comes the mob!
