Koreda's Shoplifters is a slow-paced, soul-filled film that lingered in my head for days after viewing. The characters felt respectfully crafted with both simplicity and nuance, and were patiently given air to breathe throughout the film as I was given time to take them in. A bittersweet and beautifully told film about the different shapes and forms a "family" can fill.
i love everything about this podcast -- it's informative and entertaining, and it's accessible to both audiophiles & non-audiophiles alike. the production quality is consistently solid/well-edited, and the host (dallas taylor) gives great insights via credible details and engaging analysis.
one of the few, cherished podcasts i keep in regular rotation because of its effectiveness in expanding my awareness and appreciation of the world (and all the sounds within it).
A great podcast for both economists and people who have no idea what that word means.
Episodes are the perfect length (approx. 20-30 mins each) and the low-key, conversational style and storytelling makes them both easily digestible and enjoyable.
Beyond the strong presentation, topics are (most importantly) also interesting, well-researched/edited, and broad spectrum.
