watched this way up close in the front row of the theater and i was genuinely worried i forgot to take my anxiety meds that day (i didn't, but they were not much help) - a true testament to how brilliantly tense this was
why didn't anyone tell me this movie was so good?
i brushed it off when it was released bc i think i thought it was a dry and serious *historical piece* i wouldn't connect with or smth, but i finally watched recently and it's actually brilliant, hilarious, and entertaining all the way through
the first half of this book is actually quite compelling stuff, but somewhere early in the second half, Harari's book (unfortunately) derails into one-sided assertions and sweeping, sensational claims merely there to serve up the author's own agenda (whatever that is)
