I think this is one of those albums that if you heard it before the plethora of similar hip hop albums released around this time, that maybe you would think more of it than vice versa and it would have a higher overall rating than it does. Having heard so much boom bap/jazz rap from the early/mid 90's era myself, while a really good album, it doesn't reach the brilliant heights of others, largely from a standout point of view. While there are plenty of great tracks there isn't an amazing track or two present here which let it down. Overall though, it's a highly consistent record and well worth a four out of five. Best Tracks: C'Mon wit da Git Down, Heavy Ammunition, Attack of New Jerusalem, Whayback, Dynamite Soul
