I’ve never connected with a Suga Free project front to back, but there are always standout moments, and this one’s no different. ‘With the Flow’ is a real highlight, leaning into a hip house/electronic influence that sets it apart from the rest of the tracklist. ‘Who Can Do That’ featuring Quik, is another strong cut, while ‘Bad Lil Bixch’ benefits from its lo-fi textures. ‘Get It Get It (Don’t Look Back)’ rounds out the highs with a smooth, feel-good energy. The lows include, ‘SunnySide Up,’ which features Suga’s daughter. She’s not a kid but clearly isn't ready to be on record yet, and given Suga’s usual subject matter, her presence here feels awkward. To a lesser extent, ‘Good Day,’ a reworking of 'Hollywood Knights' by Brooklyn Dreams (also recalling Nappy Roots’ 'Good Day'), comes off as overly familiar and uninspired. The Daz feature, ‘Panties in a Bunch,’ is solid enough, but much of much of the rest is fairly forgettable.
