Maybe it's the amount of time Pac isn't rapping, but this album is just missing something to take it to the next level. The best, like 'Stay True' and 'Under Pressure' are great, but there's nothing in Pac's best 30 songs from this project. It's still a really enjoyable album though. In terms of his discography, it's hovering around 'Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z.'. The best aren't as good, but it's more consistent. Beats: ★★★★ Rapping/Bars: ★★★★ Hooks: ★★★★ Best Tracks: Bury Me a G, Stay True, Under Pressure, How Long Will They Mourn Me?, Str8 Ballin' 1. Bury Me a G 88 The Isley Brothers' sample works so well. I don't rate this as highly as I used to. 2. Don't Get It Twisted 86 I feel like B-Real is about to start rapping. It sounds like a Cypress Hill song. Nevertheless, the bounce still hits. 3. Shit Don't Stop 70 This doesn't really feel that much like a Pac song either with so much funk sampling. It sounds more like something from Digital Underground. Funk is funk though. 4. Pour Out a Little Liquor 82 5. Stay True 93 Curtis Mayfield's 'Just Want to Be With You' sample makes this feel so soulful and the best song. 6. How Long Will They Mourn Me? 88 Another song to add to the list of Nate Dogg's killer hooks. 7. Under Pressure 93 Hard as... 8. Street Fame 81 This doesn't sound mixed extremely well but it works for the grittiness. 9. Cradle to the Grave 74 Enjoyable, with a nice contrasting hook, but one of the weaker moments. 10. Str8 Ballin' 93 Another great use of sampling. 'What's a Telephone Bill?' by Bootsy's Rubber Band adds to the chill vibe.
