Now we come to one of the Oscar winning films from last year, three of which have come to be one of the more memorable ones that have gotten more recognition that had got many audiences to see. The first one, one of which is Anora. Oh yes, Anora. Known to be the winner of five Oscars so yeah, I gotta say that this is going to be one helliva ride if I say so myself. Anora aka."Ani" played by Mikey Madison, a sex working stripper, lives in Brooklyn. Her boss introduces her to Ivan "Vanya" Zakharova and he's in the U.S. to study, he spends most of his time partying in clubs and playing video games. He hires her for many sexual encounters. He invites her to a New Year's Eve party at the mansion, and Anora, Vanya and his friends are out partying, getting drunk and "Ani" and "Vanya" are getting married in Vegas and they both live in the mansion. When news of their marriage reaches Russia, Toros is ordered by someone to find them and get their marriage annulled while someone flies to America, "Vanya" runs off and it looks like they will not be getting a Cinderella fairytale they were hoping for. Now before getting into this, I have just thought about something that completely blown my mind. First off is Mikey Madison. Yes. Now the first time I saw her in is got to be Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood and the second time I saw her in is Scream 5, so yes, I saw Mikey Madison in two both movies that many people will recognise her from but it looks like I'm not the only one who saw two films I see her from, Sean Baker, the director himself has saw Mikey in both movies and that why he cast her in the film. And now, the third time we ever saw her in is the Oscar winning film which I'm doing right now is Anora, and you know what, since I mentioned that it won five Oscars at the Academy Awards, all I gotta say is, SHE WON AN OSCAR!!! (Applause) Yes sirre! For the first time ever in the Academy Awards Mikey Madison was going to be nominated for an Oscar and at my very site, Mikey Madison actually won an Oscar for her role in Anora, so yeah, this movie is that memorable for a time being so congratulations. I'm proud of you. Oh, Academy Awards. I'm in Heaven. (Sighs) As for the story trope of Russians trying to get "Ani and "Vanya"'s marriage annulled, they really did not appreciate that their marriage ever happened in the first place, the Godfather, Toros only knows what's best for his parent's son. As a Comedy Drama itself, for me, the comedy doesn't really kick in until the second half between Anora and Toros and his henchmen mostly which one of them spewed in the car after stating that he can't stand of looking at her. At first, I thought they're Italians but no, they're Russians. I was irritated that they're really going to destroy their marriage by having it canceled at first but that's what this movie does to you in an impeccable and unique way so be sure on that. So with that said, Anora is a great romantic comedy drama that really get courteous so that this film will not get you angry once you've seen it. The directing from Sean Baker is great, the acting is superb especially from Mikey Madison and the story is so original like you'd never expected before. If you want to see an Oscar winning film to keep you in a impeccable and incredible mood, this is the one to check out even if you haven't heard, seen or recognise Mikey Madison before much like some like myself did with Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood and Scream 5 then you will know what I mean once you've seen those two. So with that being said on the run, Anora is one of the best films of 2024. Toodle loo and Toodle pip!
