I have seen most things Dave has done and this was probably the show with the least laugh out loud moments. Much of the laughs come him being serious and then making a joke about it. He has always interweaved social commentary throughout his acts but it seems to be a more predominant feature in this special. I did not expect to almost shed a tear though when he was talking about the death of his friend. The hypocrisy of certain groups... An enjoyable 80 minutes, as, as Dave says, he is a master of his craft, but the comedy isn't his best. While I hate how comedians can't just be comedians anymore, and much of the hate they cop for jokes is laughable, whether, as he argues, he has never punched down, is something I question.
