Many tennis games don't require reading a game manual or following any instructions and have been a simple case of working out what button is top spin, what is slice etc. This requires a slightly longer learning curve with movement of the right analog stick acting as the strokes which is a welcome change I guess and is easier than it sounds to learn and works fairly well. The career mode itself has no difficulty settings and just increases with difficulty each year. This makes for some boring moments in the early years where you'll have to work hard to lose points. The game also makes you sit through points being added after matches and the tournament draws. No one has time for that! The loading during the player creation process is also very slow. Graphically it is very good, but arguably isn't up to its rivals Top Spin 4 or Virtua Tennis 4. While featuring the 4 grand slams, the authenticity is lacking, only featuring a few current players and some legends, so in the tournaments you'll play against made-up players. Now that I think of it this is the case for most to all tennis games. They don't seem to feature many players on the tour...
