The mischief god Loki and his feral dogs invade Valhalla and kills Odin and his son Baldir. Loki seeks the Hammer Of Invincibility, but the hammer is sent away before Loki can retrieve it. Thor, who survived the attack, is accompanied by Járnsaxa to keep the hammer from Loki. On the way, Járnsaxa tries to teach Thor about patience, but Thor doesn't appear to heed it very deeply until it all appears too late. Can Thor change fate and stop Loki, even though the trusted Norns tell him he can't?
