As Harry begins his sixth year at Hogwarts, he discovers an old book marked as 'Property of the Half-Blood Prince', and begins to learn more about Lord Voldemort's dark past.
This movie made me wish there was more Malfoy in Harry Potter, he needed a couple more moments in a good light. I like how important Snape is in this one, and how Dumbledore and Harry’s relationship is expanded so much.
What I don’t like however is the tone, it shifts so much, one moment it’s Cormack vomiting on Snape and the next it’s Snape confronting a crying malfoy, one moment it’ll be Ron looking dumb in his quidditch helmet or kissing whatsherface and the next some other morbid shit is going on, it’s not a very smooth transition and it makes it weird to watch. It’s weird because this one focuses so much on drama rather than the usual mystery or "Voldemort’s gonna kill us oh shit", so it’s almost like the black sheep of the Harry potters, not necessarily a bad thing, but it’s definitely not the best of them imo.
