Kendrick Lamar is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer. He is regarded as one of the most skillful and successful hip hop artists of his generation. Incorporating elements of funk, soul, jazz, and spoken word, his critically acclaimed third album, 'To Pimp a Butterfly' (2015), won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. So far throughout his career, Lamar has won 13 Grammy Awards and was named by Time as one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2016. In 2018, his album 'Damn' became the first non-classical and non-jazz album to be awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Music.
