After the accidental death of his wife with his children Lisa and Piwi, Christian Kleist found a new beginning in Eisenach with his uncle Johannes Kleist. With the school director Marlene Holstein a new love has entered his life. Marlene has moved in with Christian and is doing her best to be a new mother and friend to the children. While Lisa struggles with all the problems of a 17-year-old, her brother Piwi is slowly growing out of his infancy and falls in love for the first time. A tender love develops between Johannes and Inge as well. With Clara, Marlene's five-year-old niece, there is additional excitement in the house, and the worries of the patients also keep Dr. Kle is pretty busy. With all the hustle and bustle around them, it's not that easy for Christian and Marlene to find time for themselves.
