A small city in the provinces of northern Spain during the dictatorship of Primo de Rivera is the setting for this story, in which the contrasts in society at the time and the outbreak of the class struggle will be revealed. This is the setting in which the love story of Victoria Márquez and Ángel González, two young people from very different origins, emerges. She is the youngest daughter of a wealthy businessman, widower, and owner of an iron mine and several import and export businesses. He, of humble origins, has inherited his father's commitment to the workers and, at the same time, his religious vocation, influenced by his faithful mother. Both are very much in love, but the circumstances and social norms of the time force them to separate: Ángel decides to become a priest, due to the miserable situation in which his family lives, while Victoria, due to various circumstances, must take over the reins of the his father's business. This decision, unusual and revolutionary for a woman of the time, hinders the objectives of the third vertex of the protagonist triangle of "La Señora": Gonzalo, Marqués de Castro, partner of Victoria's father and who aspires to control the businesses of the Marquez. Victoria, “La Señora”, will live and feel very closely the extreme social differences that for years have been suffocating the country from a difficult role, both in the business and personal aspects.
