The "SOKO Hamburg" investigates murder cases and crimes transnationally in Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg and Lower Saxony. Their cases range from Ratzeburg over St. Pauli, the Port of Hamburg and the Old Country to Kehdingen and Dithmarschen. Therefore, the commissariat of the SOKO is not in a smart new building in the Hafencity, but in an old brick building on the outskirts in Finkenwerder - right on the Elbe, the lifeline of the three northern federal states.
