Went to see this for the original concept. There's no overt cruelty towards the dog, which was my only concern going in, so in that sense it's cleared to see. The movie has, as one might presume, the difficulties associated with having a dog as the protagonist. It is slow paced, so it might not be for everyone. Personally, I enjoyed it as a novel idea.

What a terrible letdown. More than half the book is garbage filler. I can't believe this was written by the same man who gave us "The Men Who Murdered Mohammed", the best science fiction short story of all time. Avoid at all costs.
