This game grabbed me from the start. Interesting plot, tense and strange moments and good acting for a game like this. The problems that exist are not uncommon to this genre. That is confusion on what to click, basically constantly clicking on anything and everything for possibilities to advance. And not being able to move on until every little thing has been explored. That is, they are very linear. Toward the end of the game there are some choices to be made, some will move you further, others will kill you, so even then it's all linear. The great thing is though, the game puts you right back where you died. [SPOILER ALERT] The only decision of note to make is at the very end when you can choose to stay with your girlfriend on Earth, or depart the planet.

You could compare this game to Halo, which I have also played on the PC and XBOX and I actually enjoyed this more. Pariah while not groundbreaking is fun and to complete was challenging just to the right degree. The cons are that the environments don't seem to differ a huge amount and for 3 discs of installment wasn't that long an adventure. There is nothing extraordinary here but I do think if you are an FPS fan it's worth a shot.

Wow! What is this?... A virus has infected computers all over the world. As the player, you must fix this. In each level, for example in an elevator, buttons are presented. There is one correct on to press to advance to another random place, and the other buttons are booby-trapped causing something bewildering to occur. The problem is though, that there is no logic behind your decisions from what I gather. It's just a random trial and error adventure. I like the presentation of this, but it's a poor game.
This was the first game I got on PlayStation. You cannot have a go at its creativity and originality, but I always found it frustrating and hard to get far into. The level select cheat was a godsend.

Going back to this has always perplexed me. I remember playing the demo of this years and years ago, and I remember it being a reasonably fun FPS. I'm not sure if the version I have of the full game is different or not, but it isn't as I remember. The main issues with this is the movement controls which make for a frustrating time to try to navigate the cliff edges. The aiming system could have used more development time also, and the level design seems unfinished at times.
