This is just one of those really consistent albums that artists rarely create anymore. However, I haven't found a classic here, and after quite a few listens, I'm still struggling to see enough differentiation from song to song. About halfway through it possibly begins being a bit more jazzy, and more my thing, but it would have been better off being a few songs shorter. Nevertheless, nothing comes close to being filler, with 15 solid-great boom-bap cuts being present.

To me this sounds similar to some Scarface albums from around the time of release. The energy from every rapper present isn't lacking, the production, handled by the usual collaborators is enjoyable, and there are some good hooks, I particularly like the one on 'Livin' 4 the Moment'. There is a line on one of the songs about everyone now sounding like Tupac, yet on 'Thugg Niggaz', Doracell, I think it is, sounds like he is impersonating him, which is odd. Lyrically there is little new. It's the usual gangsta rap including songs about not snitchin' and racism. While lacking a great song, it's a consistent listen though. I've given this a number of spins and I couldn't give it any lower than a 3 /5.

Canibus is my man but the production on this album is pretty abysmal. A number of them sound like bad video game music. I wonder if that's anything to do with 'PaKMan' being featured throughout the album... Among the songs is the 'Stan' parody/response track 'U Didn't Care', which is a theme throughout some other songs stemming from the beef with Eminem. Personally, I think the two guys' styles would've mixed well together if they teamed up. Overall, while Bis' ear for beats has never been great, these are easily the worst collection of them over a whole album from him.

This is the first Cam'ron album I've heard and it has to be one of the most lacklustre hip hop albums I've ever listened to. People rate this guy highly? Cam'ron is boring and the beats offer little.
Cozz, who signed to J. Cole's label earlier in the year, comes with his debut album. I looked forward to this after hearing 'Dreams' with its fairly dope production and some nice lyrics. Elsewhere, there are similarly good moments but at the same time, there are too many generic bars where he brags and talks about bitches and overall I don't think he's that entertaining.
