There aren't many characters more annoying than Otto West. It's to the point of overkill though. It's to the point of me not wanting to watch the film. I smiled at times, mainly when Wanda is telling Otto how stupid he is, but the comedic moments were a let down. The story is fairly thin as well.
Looked great but ultimately I didn't feel much connection emotionally to the characters which seems to be the main intention of the film, because it definitely isn't the plot. I didn't connect with the children either, found some of the scenes a bit weird between the mother and the kids and the whispering was annoying. Also this 2 hour and 18 minute movie felt much longer which is never a good sign.
This movie plods along nicely, but like I've said with a few films I've watched recently, it never goes beyond that or gets too exciting. There is nothing too surprising along the way. Clint is great as a bumbling person as he's put in uncomfortable situations and offers a number of laughs.
At almost 3 hours, I watched this across a few sittings. Aamir Khan was a tad annoying mainly because he kind of always stares at people and he was always wearing that bag all the time. A lot of it's predictable but the story is still likeable. It just dragged on for me.
Some laughs to be had but the story felt a bit shallow and ridiculous. No one shaking his hands every time he puts his hand out was one of the best gags.
