An enjoyable album at times from Del with some funky original production, however it does drop off a fair bit on too many tracks.
Just gets a 3/5 from me.
Best Tracks: Back in the Chamber, Slam Dunk, Naked Fonk
I've been waiting for 'Anthem Inc' to drop for a while now, so have been anticipating any new songs from Naughty that have dropped. Both of these songs didn't grab me much on the first listen, particularly the poppier 'Get to Know Me Better', but both tracks have grown on me. The harder grittier 'I Gotta Lotta' is pretty good even if it is slightly let down by the hook. Nothing too brilliant, but it helps wet the appetite for the album expected to drop somewhere in the next couple/few months.
Best Track: I Gotta Lotta
Best Tracks: Dont Go Breaking My Heart (Very humorous), Back in the Air, Pop Shots
The rest of them are average. I've never understood the fanfare with ODB though.
I don't think this is as much of an experiment for KRIT as many reviews would have you believe. Looking at them before listening to this, I was expecting something very different, like MGK going punk or something. I don't hear the 'questionable creative risks' that PF mention in their review. He is singing a little more, but he has made/rapped over vibey/soulful/funky production before. I think most of this works well. I enjoyed it as soon as I pressed play.
Best Tracks: Just 4 You, Would It Matter, Show U Right, It's Over Now, All the Time
While many say the first BTTF movie is better, I have always preferred this one. The first is great, but isn't as rewatchable-it has slower moments. This never stops moving. Within the first few minutes, the viewer is transported to the future, and just like Marty, your eyes cannot get enough of the surroundings, even after a number of views. Then we go back to the present day and back to the time of the first film. People prefer the writing in the first one, but I don't think this does anything wrong. Part III is underrated too.
