I don't know if this is much better than 2K11, that I gave 3/5, or I'm just in the mood for b-ball more this season, but I am getting more out of this than last years version. The 'My Player Mode' is well done and I'm trying not to suck at that. If there is one thing that annoyed me about 2K11 that hasn't been rectified is the intention the developers have to waste my time. All the little cutscenes, watching the draft, listening to questions from the press and scouts instead of just being able to skip them is aggravating. Deep down there still isn't a lot new from what was in basketball games a decade ago, but nevertheless, it recreates the sport excellently without much room to move from here.
This is one for music fans. As the title suggests, this game is all about music. It comes with riffs and beats in all types of genres that you could turn into a song of your own. For the more musically proficient, it contains its own piano of sorts where original music can be composed in many instrumental sounds. Today anyone with a decent computer can get a more sophisticated program to create music but this was a great way to learn something about the process, and great for people without a PC at the time such as myself. And you can pretty much copy this review into the sequel. Music 2000.

This game would almost fit under the interactive movie genre.The gameplay is basically cutscene, look around an area for clues, choose one to three clues that are most relevant from the many found, cutscene, exit the location by defeating/sneaking past demons, walk to the next location.
The Good: The plot. I never felt the need to skip a cutscene and was into the story from the word go, even though I've never been into supernatural themes. As I say often these days, the voice acting is top notch. It has to be one of the major improvements in gaming over the last 10 to 15 years or so. The music is good without being superb as well, and the game is easy to play.
The Bad: The combat with the demons is frustrating. It just doesn't seem to work as well as it should. It can be hard to tell at times from afar what way they are facing-which is imperative as they can only be attacked from behind-and you can miss out by a split second on killing them when it should seem to work. Whilst looking for clues, the area you need, can be too specific at times as well to inspect the clue. This isn't common but happens enough to be an annoyance. It's also a fairly short game that you may not play twice in a hurry unless you want to go back and gather all the collectables around the world for 100%. Not flawless by any means, but it's a solid mysterious gothic adventure game.

This was created by Polyphony Digital before they developed Gran Turismo. It's quite a different game, that's for sure, but the one thing it kind of has in common (beside being a racing game) is realistic handling, at least for a kart game anyway, which is difficult at first as it's unexpected. A fun challenging early kart game before so many more would hit the console.

This is an off-road racer part of the well received MotorStorm series. The tracks are in various locations each offering different routes and there are varying vehicles to choose from such as 4WDs, trucks and bikes to name a few. It looks nice, especially some of the levels set on the coast/in jungles but there isn't a lot to it. It is forgiving though to play where even when crashing a number of times with the aid of turbo winning it still possible.
