Released around the same time as WipEout, it gives off that feeling straight away. It does look worse, play worse and has a worse soundtrack, but it goes okay. *Also known as Gran Chaser

This is probably a backward step from Crash Time IV. There is less freedom when driving, with more racing based levels and the world is less exciting.

With a bit of cleaning up, the next Crash Time could almost be a 5/5 game. The thing I like most about this game is that to me the environment feels more real than other similar games like Driver/NFS and so on. There are a few annoying bits with it sometimes not being too clear on what to do and the game giving you stupid directions, but it's fairly fun and has a sense of originality to it. A very unoriginal game in all areas for the first Crash game on a sixth generation console. If you have played 1-3, this is extremely unessential.

This is up there with Muppet RaceMania as the best kart game on the psx. This has better driving physics and could easily be put on the top of the list, its just the humour of the characters and that Muppet RaceMania took longer to complete that put this a close second in my opinion.
