'What the Fuck' isn't the best way to kick the album off with it borrowing the bad hook from Nore's '98 hit 'Superthug' ("what, what, what, what, what", etc), but then the album has a run of dope songs. 'Thug Poetry' has an eerie beat and features some enjoyable spitting, including from the feature Saafir, 'Suckas Do What They Can (Real Playaz)' will make you bounce, and 'U Can't Fade Me' tells the story of a woman trying to baby trap Spice that uses Ice Cube's 'You Can't Fade Me' instrumentation that is impossible not to enjoy.
Then 'Killerfornia' is the next attention grabbing moment. The following 'Gone With the Wind' to a lesser extent is also nice, with both songs getting more conscious and featuring some nice hooks that include enjoyable female sung vocals. The following couple of tracks are decent with likeable hooks with 'Make Sure They Bleed' giving me a strong 2Pac vibe. Those aside though, there are too many songs that come and go, and the album falls away after some of the best moments around the middle of the album. It does sound a lot different to Spice's previous album from only two years prior sounding much more like a product of its time with some of the 'Shiny Suit Era' production touches being featured.
I think I will rank this just below his debut, but it's a close call. Up until this point in '99, it was his worst solo effort largely due to some average-poor production.

'What If a Woman', that sounds incredibly like it came from R. Kelly's pen in the same lane as 'When a Woman's Fed Up', is one of Joe's best tracks and songs like 'Ghetto Child' offer a different sound and theme with Joe and Shaggy singing about social issues rather than love for a change. The opener, 'I Understand' and 'She Used 2 Luv Me' are other high moments but this one does have a few more weaker moments than his better albums.
Best Tracks: Let's Stay Home Tonight, What If a Woman, Alone, Ghetto Child, I Understand, She Used 2 Luv Me
After the amazing 'All That I Am', the next two albums from Joe weren't quite at the same level, but this one gets closer to his best. Songs like the title track, 'Priceless', 'You Dropped Your Dime', 'Another Used to Be', the R. Kelly produced and written, 'More & More' and 'Make You My Baby', are great songs. It also features the near hit and G-Unit assisted 'Ride Wit U' that some will put amongst the best. Even the weaker songs like 'Jeep' and 'Street Dreams' are still nice.
Best Tracks: And Then..., More & More, Priceless, Make You My Baby, Priceless, You Dropped Your Dime, It Ain't Like That, Another Used to Be
Add this one to the list of consistent solid projects from Spice 1. The only weak moment is the second introduction of sorts, 'Criminal Activity', as the rappers' voices are weirdly altered. Maybe it's meant to make them sound unidentifiable like "Criminalz" want to be. There is nothing amazing though to make me give this a higher rating. The best thing is the soulful 'My Life'. A decent 3/5.

The MI films are hard to split. I watched them all in a week or two before seeing this at the cinemas making it the only one I have seen on the big screen, which would normally make it more engaging than viewing at home, but aside from the ending with the train carriages, that was amazing viewing, the other action scenes aren't very memorable compared to what has come before. The car chase in Italy with the Fiat was like a comedy scene and I haven't been a fan of the comedic elements added to the franchise. In saying that though, Benji, who I haven't liked in other movies, isn't here for as much comic relief as some of the other films making the character more bearable. Another problem I had here is how the characters finish one another's sentences when the story is being moved forward.-It seemed to happen a lot. I don't think the story is as tense as other MI films have been but it does set the scene nicely for Part 2. Finally, take a gulp of water every time a character says "key" and you'll be urinating all night.
