From the jump, this has a softer, more g-funk, vibey oriented sound that their debut. It kicks off with 'Strikin''. The verses are enjoyable but I don't like the slow drawn out hook with the following title track feeling similar. 'Da Mack Shit', produced by Paris, is the first song to catch my attention and then the next Paris song, 'TCD Fo' Life (West Coast Bomb)', is also hard as nails. The rappers sound better over these bangers than the softer tunes, often produced by producers other than Paris, who only handles 7 of these 14 songs. Beats: ★★★ Rapping/Bars: ★★★ Hooks: ★★☆ Best Tracks: Da Mack Shit, TCD Fo' Life (West Coast Bomb), Widow

Produced by Ant Banks, who Poohman would beef with further down the track, the beats are basically what you'd expect from a 1990 album but perhaps feel like they could've come from slightly earlier. The first song has a similar hook to Jeru Damaja's 'Da Bitches' and tells different tales about bitches, but like Pac though, he clarifies that not all women are bitches. The following song follows the same structure with some stories for each verse but the hook here sounds really amateur. 'Explicit Lyrics' talks about the issues around people blaming rappers for their behaviour. There is a nice production change-up towards the end of the song. 'Don't Fuck With Me' features Scarface soundbites. Poohman raps well and has some content that became common themes in hop hop but the production doesn't do enough for me to rank this any higher. Best Tracks: Explicit Lyrics, Oakland

There is excellent acting and the movie makes me even more scared to ever have a teenage girl as a child, but the plot is nothing new at all. A smart, clean, teenage girl gets in with a popular preppy deranged lunatic of her own age and goes down the wrong path. Very predictable.

Nine tracks and 31 minutes of brag rap. There is nothing thought provoking or original lyrically. Da Brat is a good rapper, but not great enough to make the album with unoriginal topics or decent beats be elevated to anything beyond decent. There is a YouTuber who uses the phrase 'cheat code sample' when referring to samples like those on the title track that have been used so many times. The Isley Brothers' 'Between the Sheets' definitely fits that category which helps 'Funkafied' be the best song. A low-mid 3/5. Due to it's so bad it's good album art, his previous album, 'Funky As I Wanna Be', has been on my to-listen-to list for a while, but due to it not being available on Spotify, here I am, and from the jump, this is great. It's just what I want from hip hop and why I cite the west coast as the best coast. The production is funky and contains catchy, creative and in some cases really well-sung hooks. Pooh can rap, and after only having heard one album, I think he can be added to the underrated list. You can't judge a rapper by their album covers, hey. One of the highlights here is 'Backstabbaz' with the O'Jays' 'Back Stabbers' lyrical interpolation but it's all a consistent hour of funky hip hop. The production it's backed by is bouncy, but I will again bemoan the 6 minutes of shout outs as the closer... Yawn... Pooh does say something interesting about Tupac though. "Tupac, what's really going on, man? You get the ass kicking award for this year. Stop beating up on people." If only he listened.. Beats: ★★★★ Rapping/Bars: ★★★★☆ Hooks: ★★★★ Best Tracks: 50-50 Chance, Body Bag, Bring It 2 'Em, Judgement Day, Studio Gangster, Backstabbaz
