This was an underwhelming listen. Swizz must have photos of many people in the industry. As a producer, he shouldn't have the connections and name in hip hop that he does based on what he's created. 'Runaway' has Nas, so it's not terrible, but he has done much better including on 'Hip Hop 50, Vol. 1' with DJ Premier. Lil Wayne brings his annoying delivery on 'This Sh*t Right Here'. Scar Lip is the best thing on 'Take Em Out' backed by above average production and some DMX adlibs that are always welcome. 'City Sound Like' has wack rappers on it. 'Say Less' is okay. Jay does nothing to surprise on 'Khalas.'
The production is average at best, there is nothing catchy, the lyrics aren't interesting, and for the most part the rappers don't impress.

Not a bad return from Day26. The album gets better as it runs after an uninspiring opening with club-R&B songs like 'Touchdown' and to a lesser extent 'R&B Singer'. When they do what they do best though, which is R&B with some build up, the results are worth going back to. The final five songs from 'You're Worth It' are enjoyable.
Best Tracks: Russian Roulette, Impossible, Lose Control
I'd been looking forward to this album for quite some time. I've listened to the amazing duet with Chrisette Michele, 'No Greater Love', about 50 times according to last.fm and the moving 'I Belong Here' from 2020 also made me long for some more Currence music. Here we have his first album for well over a decade. The finale, 'It Is Well', builds up to an amazing crescendo'. I don't love 'Vans X Adidas' or the title track but they aren't bad by any means. There is enough great stuff here. Recommended if you enjoy or don't mind some gospel themes.
Best Tracks: One of These Days, No Greater Love, Ransom, I Belong Here, Beauty of Holiness, It Is Well
R&B got more electronic in the mid-late '00s and we hear that influence on some of this album, with some vocals that sound like auto-tune as well. Again, like with his previous albums, the song with the rap feature isn't worth playing twice. I don't have much to say about this one. It's non-offensive R&B but there isn't anything great. The best, 'Case of You', falls below the standouts on his previous albums. A light 2.5/5.
Best Tracks: Case of You, Stranger
After an improved second album, this doesn't continue to trend. This opens up with a recording of two-year old Marques talking about liking Michael Jackson and Eddie Murphy and how he is going to be rich. Then as was the case on his previous two albums, and more-so his previous effort, Marques just doesn't hit the club R&B joints for a home run. 'Like This' featuring Yung Joc, is my least favourite moment and an odd choice to kick the album off. The only other song touching that sub-genre is 'How You Just Gonna', but it's a better effort. Other than those, it's consistently decent slow jammy R&B, but again, as I said about his previous two albums, the high moments aren't quite present. 'Kimberly' is one that stands out sonically featuring more soul and a bit of funk.
Best Tracks: Favorite Girl, Kimberly, Miss Being Your Man
