If you like some quick spitting and boom bap, you'll get something out of this short album. At the same time though, this definitely isn't reinventing the wheel and the sound will be quite familiar for fans of the genre. The best is the DJ Premier produced 'Leave It Alone'.

There are some decent moments. Alan Arkin trying to act as a hard ass police chief, the Mike Myers beat poetry, and the paranoid state Mike gets in should make for a better movie than it is, but it all comes together to be fairly unmemorable in the end. 2-2.5/5
I expected more from this one. The story of a doll/toy going out of control has been done and this doesn't add a whole lot new apart from the themes of attachment and human relationships vs machine. None of the attempts at jump scares worked. The daughter changes from having an attachment disorder with M3GAN to doing a 180 and trying to kill it too quickly.
Some random thoughts. This is a pleasant listen despite being a tad boring in parts. The best are good, but not amazing. It's a shame the best moment, 'As It Was', isn't a bit longer. Some of the synth-pop production sounds like something The Weeknd has had. 'Little Freak' reminds me of some of Zayn's tunes. Harry's singing talent doesn't blow me away.

I don't know where to start with this. I wanted to turn it off after 20 minutes. The quote, "He's a liberal cuck", that appears later on in the movie, sums it and the writers (Kenya Barris/Jonah Hill) up. I feel like the writers probably thought they were writing a more balanced movie than they did. You only have to compare the apologies of Ezra's mum and Amira's father to their children towards the conclusion to tell that it isn't. There are some engaging scenes and moments of comedy driven by the star power in the film, but if I had a dollar for the amount of times I cringed or rolled my eyes at some of the attempts at social commentary I'd be a rich man. The BS Amira gives Ezra when he gets in her car thinking it's an Uber is like a poorly written Curb Your Enthusiasm moment, as are other moments when the characters overreact to something that has been said. Don't get me started on Ezra's cliche/cringe podcast co-host either. Maybe it's shallow of me, but I struggled to believe that someone who looks like Lauren London would be with Jonah Hill too. And they should've used Kanye's verse.
