While it has never been a massive issue with AFL games, the graphics look really good here and each stadium is extremely authentic. The teams, including licensed VFL and TAC Cup teams are also worthy additions. The gameplay still just hasn't made the leaps forward one would hope though and I'm still waiting for one of my most loved sports to be given a great video game. The AI is still stupid, in some cases more so than before and the game just gets so frustrating when trying to play on the hardest difficulty. The biggest problem is the way your teammates move when you have the ball when you want them to spread into space and the space left for the opponents to take uncontested marks. You're left shouting, 'how did they get so free!' While Australian rules football has become more like rugby over the past decades with more and more players around the ball, it is probably overkill here even more. It should be easier to get a clearance kick out from stoppages to limit the amount of ball ups. I have a feeling this could be built on, but I was saying it over 10 years ago with AFL games. 3-2.5.

An improvement over 2005, and fun to pick up and play despite its flaws, but bad AI and small gameplay issues still make it far from a perfect recreation of Australian rules football. Aspects such as players taking way too long to get their kick off, meaning the amount of smothers is astronomical for a game of football, the opposition often playing on from a behind, and giving you plenty of time to tackle them most of the time, stiff controls, and at times while controlling the game, the opposition all of a sudden have a couple of minutes of flawless kicking where you cannot get a touch. A short (20 minutes) interactive movie developed by the National Film and Television School in the UK with some choices to be made throughout the game. Some interesting themes of alcoholism, adultery and suicide are present but its lack of length and imperfect gameplay hinder it.

25 to Life is a third person shooter that at times while playing it you feel like you have been given that sentence. That's probably a bit unfair to a degree as the gameplay is alright but when you die you generally have start from a long way back in the level and you can be stuck on that part of the game for ages. I got about halfway through the game and that is how far I still have been able to get up to for the reasons above. A fun playable game at times with a good hip hop soundtrack, but the difficulty and lack of originality let it down. Gameplay 2/5 Graphics 3.5/5 Sound 3.5/5 Difficulty 1.5/5 Originality 1/5

This game is sort of like NBA Jam but with 1990s rap stars and not quite as fun. The gameplay is pretty simple though and makes for okay multiplayer action. Some of the rap stars are artists such as Naughty By Nature, LL Cool J, Public Enemy, Yoyo and others. The thing is though, once on the court, you can hardly tell them apart.
