Call me crazy, but I've never gotten the fascination with this man. I think that it's partly due to the format of albums like Donuts and this with the short tracks that make it worse, where songs are over before they begin, and it is easier to make something sound good for one minute as opposed to four. It's very soulful, largely due to being sample heavy, and there's some originality, but as I've said, little grabs me. I see this as being background music, or to be put on while playing a video game or something, but I would never sit at my computer or boom box and chuck this on. Best Tracks: Reality Check, I Told Y'all, Pay Day, Big City

When I heard this remix album was in the works, this is not really what I expected. A lot of these tracks do not differ from their originals very much at all. So, while this isn't necessarily a bad thing as MJ has one of the better catalogues of music you are going to find, if you grew up on the guy, this is a difficult album to recommend shelling out any cash for. The remixes on 'Blood on the Dance Floor' offer something more unique, and with the plethora of MJ best of compilations, as I mentioned, this is hard to recommend. Apart from the music there is also some brief dialogue from MJ thrown in to apparently go along with the plot to the Cirque du Soleil show all this was from.

I'd love an actual official release of the stuff that didn't make his albums (i'm sure eventually it will come). I think I read that for Dangerous about 100 tracks were written. When this was leaked some people thought it was his long awaited album, but it's just mainly outtakes from past albums and some featurings with 3T.

It has taken quite some time for Gunplay to release this debut album. After hearing songs over the years I was looking forward to this because he can bring a lot of energy to his music. The lead-up mixtapes were disappointing though and it has kind of followed on here. There are still some dope songs here but it's lacking anything as strong as 'Bible on the Dash' or with the energy of 'Bogota'. Best Tracks: Just Won't Do, Be Like Me, From Da Jump, Dark Dayz, Leave Da Game

This is a very run of the mill R&B album. 'Get Ready', that sounds like something else I've heard that I can't think of at the moment, is dope thanks to the instrumentation and serene vibe it creates. The GOAT, R. Kelly improves the remix of 'Hell Yeah' to make it one of the better songs here. 'In Those Jeans' is also one of the better ballads where Ginuwine sings quite passionately. Elsewhere, many songs don't differ much from beginning to end, there aren't a lot of overly catchy hooks and after a few spins there is nothing I'll be coming to. Best Tracks: Get Ready, In Those Jeans, Love You More, Hell Yeah (Remix)
