This tries to do too many thing without doing anything well. First up, you control a boat with your job to shoot the enemy's ships. With only 8 directions that the SNES allowed for, this is too inaccurate and boring. When that's over you control Mariner trying to collect treasure from the deep while trying to avoid sea creatures. Then you are back to controlling the boat. And finally Mariner is back on a ship, this time with a sword/gun fighting villains. The combat here is poor, particularly with the sword.

This is from Telltale Games so if you have played any of their games chances are you'll know what do expect here. Like Sam & Max games this is fairly challenging, but if you persist with it the plot is interesting enough as usual. I always feel that these kind of games could be made more user friendly though.

It doesn't contain a large amount of replay value once passed and didn't take very long to complete but The Warriors is a good enjoyable beat 'em up that stays pretty true to the movie of the same name, The Warriors. Gameplay 3/5 Graphics 3.5/5 Sound 4/5 Difficulty 3/5 Originality 3.5/5

This football sim seems to have a bit going for it, with a power bar for passes, something that PES and FIFA took years to implement, it features something like every world cup team and squad to use, and the ability to perform your own goal celebrations. The gameplay, controls and presentation though to me are a bit ruff and limit the game being elevated to the next level. *Also known as Absolute Football

For a 1999 sixth generation game this looks fantastic, and offers some arcade footballing fun. However, I can't see this having the longevity of a PES/FIFA, as it just doesn't contain enough depth. Players don't sprint, there is no through ball, one camera angle making it difficult to know where players are, and poor AI to name a few things that make this not so good on the console.
