Many tennis games don't require reading a game manual or following any instructions and have been a simple case of working out what button is top spin, what is slice etc. This requires a slightly longer learning curve with movement of the right analog stick acting as the strokes which is a welcome change I guess and is easier than it sounds to learn and works fairly well. The career mode itself has no difficulty settings and just increases with difficulty each year. This makes for some boring moments in the early years where you'll have to work hard to lose points. The game also makes you sit through points being added after matches and the tournament draws. No one has time for that! The loading during the player creation process is also very slow. Graphically it is very good, but arguably isn't up to its rivals Top Spin 4 or Virtua Tennis 4. While featuring the 4 grand slams, the authenticity is lacking, only featuring a few current players and some legends, so in the tournaments you'll play against made-up players. Now that I think of it this is the case for most to all tennis games. They don't seem to feature many players on the tour...
No guns, no enemies, no other people at all, just you exploring your old empty house set across an emotive love story with an interesting narrative, with some nice attention to detail from the developers. If you like Myst types of games and the like you should get something out of this. The let down is that it is incredibly short. I would've finished this within two hours. Enjoyable while it lasted though.
Developed by the same company as the AFL games around the time of release, this uses the same game engine with the similarities being noticeable straight away. It's a bit of fun, from a fun sport that is rarely recreated into a video game, but the AI is poor and the tackling just doesn't work very well.
An under appreciated game and one that needs a remake. The single player Crime War mode isn't brilliant but the Precinct Assault mode is really enjoyable. This mode serves as an enthralling multiplayer mode where the aim is to protect your base and earn points to buy hovercrafts, planes, helicopters and other machinery to fight for you and protect your base - kind of like capture the flag. Not only against others on slipt-screen but the AI difficulty level is spot on also which makes it good for people who don't have quick access to a friend. It would be perfect with today's online play.

The open world driving version of the Forza series features enjoyable challenging racing but there is little new here. The tracks feel a bit repetitive early on and for an open world game, a lot of the joy is often the environment the game puts you in. Think 'Test Drive Unlimited' with it's beautiful picturesque backdrop or 'Need for Speed: Most Wanted' with its high detailed cities with a variety of locations. This feels a bit more bland than that.
